Story Map

This story map acts as a culmination of our month long lab on land use on cover change. Through our study of the Collins View Neighborhood, Lewis and Clark Campus, and the River View Natural area we have found evidence to suggest that changes to land use over time has affected current microclimate conditions and land coverage. Steffen and I set out to find how anthropogenic efforts changed our site in Collins View so that we could compare that data with that collected from the other sites observed by other students. The general trends indicated that areas where native vegetation was removed was usually for development and led to slight increases in ambient temperature.
